Education - We must strengthen our public education system by providing teachers and parents with adequate resources to help our children succeed.

-Teacher pay raises, let's raise teacher pay to at least the national average

Healthcare - Providing affordable and quality healthcare. Protecting medicaid expansion in Virginia.

Environment - We must pass legislation to guarantee that our coastlines are permanently protected from offshore drilling and large polluters.

-No one in Virginia should ever have to worry if their air is safe to breath or if their water is clean to drink. Richmond must hold polluters accountable for their actions and we must act immediately to ensure a clean and sustainable environment
I'm passionate about education policy because a qualty education is central to prosper and succeed in this country. Our young people are the key to a successful future and each and every student in our Commonwealth deserves the best public education we can provide them.
I look up to my Mother because she raised my sister and I without ever complaining and did whatever she had to do to be sure we were setup for success.
I want to leave the world a better place. I want to say I made a difference in someone's life and help make changes that better humanity.
The first "historical event" I remember was the OJ Simpson Trial. I remember how everyone was capitivated by the trial and the separation of opionions. I was 10 years old.
I refereed youth basketball games. I did it for a season or two before I went to college.
Christmas. I get to spend time with family and fellowship with friends.
Dreams of my father, Barack Obama. It told the comming of age story of our future first black president and showed that the American dream is still alive and for the taking.
Before politics, finding a passion for something.
I believe the number of Legislators is the biggest difference in the two chambers. Though the partisan of each house is very similar I believe the numbers effect votes often times.
I believe each region is Virginia has seperate but equally import issues that it faces over the next decade. The coast will be dealing with a recurrent flooding issue. Nothern Virginia will be dealing with infrasture, traffic, and a affordable housing shortage. The Southwest region will be dealing with loss of jobs and a population decrease.
I believe a Governor should work closely with the state legislators and be the leader of the party that has who they represent. The Governor and their administration should help push legislation they feel strongly about and assist with the passing of the bill.
I positively believe that is important to build relationships with other legislators. Much like anything else, nothing gets solved if people do not work together. It is imperative you build relationship in order to get legislation passed. You must have relationships with people on both sides of the aisle.
I would prefer an independent commision to handle gerrymandering and draw new maps
I would love to one day become a member of leadership of my party in the legislature but I understand that it takes a lot of experience and knowledge. I would be in no rush and would learn from the more established and senior legislators once there.
I would model myself after Congressman Bobby Scott. He is a man of the people and never too busy to speak and visit with his constituents.
No, I am currenlty focused on winning this election for the House of Delegates in Virginia.
I've heared many stories on the trail but one that sticks out the most is a teacher spending her money on supplies for a student that could not afford them. The teacher who spoke to me once I mentioned that a part of my platform was a teacher pay raise increase and increased investment in our public school system said "it couldn't come soon enough".

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Virginia

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states. To contribute to the list of Virginia scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
