Campaign website

Bohannon's campaign website stated the following:

If Reelected I will

P.U.S.H. Forward

P Perform

Show Up, and fulfill the duties of this role. I'm going to continue to take action on matters important to students, educators, and families. I will show up and be accountable for my performance. I will continue to advocate on behalf of our district to our leaders on the state level as I did when I lead the process for adopting a resolution in favor of funding the Leandro Plan. I will work to ensure the school district continues to focus on high-quality instruction and accountability for how children and teachers perform/ "show up" in the classroom while prioritizing the social and emotional wellbeing of everyone in our buildings.

U Understand

I will seek to understand different viewpoints on issues to get to a common ground for the student's good. I commit to understanding your needs and concerns. Most importantly, I understand that our students and teachers are the very core of our society and their success is our success. I also understand that our school operations don't work properly without the important/critical service of our ancillary staff such as our bus drivers, mechanics, facility maintenance teams, custodians, cafeteria workers, front office staff, and guidance counselors. I will always keep this top of mind when making decisions on behalf of everyone who plays a role in the overall function of our schools.

S Serve

As a public servant, I understand that my job is to serve the public. As a public servant, I commit to answering calls, returning calls, responding to emails, attending meetings, visiting schools, and being a resource for the ENTIRE community.

H Hold On

As a school board member, I commit to "holding on" and "holding tight" to the mission, values, and overall wellbeing and success of students and teachers when things get tough. I will not quit. I will not give up on our students, teachers, and families. I will not give up on the possibility of improving our system and finding ways to bridge gaps for our educators and students.
