I'm a Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine clinical trial participant. I checked in 25,000 Nevadans at Las Vegas Convention Center, Galleria Mall and Heritage Park Senior Center in Henderson. I'm a member of WallStreetBets behind the Gamestop short squeeze. I was a new hire in April 2020. I have an Operations Management degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. With the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers-Nevada I earned the Nevada Ethics in Government certificate.
With respect to coronavirus, I felt the policy makers should have pushed job retention by providing wages to employees through company payroll rather than $1200 checks or $600 or $300 extra weekly payment in unemployment. This would have kept small businesses open and workers working. Every other country saw 1 or 2% drops in GDP & unemployment numbers rather than the -32% GDP & 30% unemployment rate here in Nevada.
I helped deliver Chromebooks to my neighbors in April 2020 just before I became a new hire in that very unusual month. I lived in a 294 sq. ft. apartment with a family of four during the pandemic. I would encourage children to learn from the material in the books and lessons on the computer, which is where I feel paper books are heading to -- online. The health, well-being and education of children is where you can look to in order to understand this Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine clinical trial participant's philosophy.
With the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers-Nevada, I was certified with the Nevada Ethics in Government award. Every elected official should be certified as to even having a set of principles to follow.
I was 14 years old in my first week of high school when 9/11 happened. A classmate's parent may have been the first one killed that day as a flight attendant. The same shock and commitment to the flag I carried through to coronavirus. I used my American flag bandana with elastic rubber bands for earloops as my first face mask. Similar to how I put American flags on my truck after 9/11, I thought the shock and awe of the fast moving coronavirus could be overcome if we as Americans pulled together as we did after 9/11. I was deployed by the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers-Nevada to serve in a federally run vaccine site alongside Nevada National Guard Soldiers and Airmen on Joint Task Force 17. When I saw soldiers returning home from Afghanistan, the war started as a response to 9/11, I knew that these are fellow Americans who could help us in our efforts to vaccinate our countrymen.
Robinhood. As a member of WallStreetBets behind the Gamestop short squeeze, I took money from the rich and gave to the poor.
The Covid-19 vaccine proxy war of the second half of 2021. I poured my blood, work, sweat and tears into the development of a vaccine and its flawless rollout. Upon successful completion of the vaccine rollout, I had to hear the news of everyone's personal struggles with pandemic life in general that manifest in their views of the new vaccine.
The State Controller does the pay of state employees through direct deposit. They're heroes. It was an honor to serve alongside Nevada National Guard Soldiers and Airmen, Metro, SNHD, CCFD, City of Henderson and Las Vegas employees at the state's largest mass vaccination site. Our public sector workers are true public servants. More people should be aware that city and state employees, including my wife a CCSD teacher, are pandemic heroes.
