Dawson, III ran for election to the 15A Judicial District of the Third Division of the Superior Court.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 20.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Keith Whited, James K. Roberson, Mike Rodgers (North Carolina) and Rick Champion. [1] 

Education

Dawson received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and his J.D. from Howard University.[2]

  • 2011-Present: Assistant district attorney, Alamance County
  • 2000-2010: Defense attorney
  • 1995-2000: Prosecutor, Prince George's County, Maryland[3]
