Alex E. Pearson is a judge for the Third Circuit Court in Tennessee. The court presides over Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, and Hawkins counties.[1] He was elected to the bench on August 7, 2014, and assumed office on September 1, 2014. His current term expires in 2022.[2]

Pearson ran for election to the Third Circuit Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 53.3 percent of the vote. He competed against Linda Thomas Woolsey.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on August 7, 2014. [1][2]

Education

Pearson received his undergraduate degree from the East Tennessee State University and his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law.[3]

Career

Prior to his judicial election in 2014, Pearson served as the assistant district attorney general for the 3rd Judicial District for over seven years.[4]
