Alex J. Smalls

Alex J. Smalls was the chief judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Delaware. He serves New Castle County.[1] He was first appointed to the court in October 1993 and became chief judge in July 1997.[2]
Smalls retired from the court effective May 1, 2021.[3]
Career
He had previously served as a Deputy Attorney General, as Public Safety Commissioner of the City of Wilmington, Delaware, and as a judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Wilmington. He served as a judge of the Court of Common Please until he was selected to become Chief Judge.[4]
