Alex Johnson was a candidate for the District 1 seat on the Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education in California. He ran in the special primary election on June 3, 2014. He advanced from the special primary election, but lost in the special runoff election.[1][2]

A total of seven candidates filed to run for the District 1 seat in the primary election. They were Genethia Hudley-Hayes, Alex Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Omarosa Manigault, Hattie McFrazier, George J. McKenna III and Sherlett Hendy Newbill.[1]
Johnson and McKenna won the primary election and competed for the seat in the runoff election.[3] McKenna was elected to the board with 52.81 percent of the vote.[2]
