Alex Kinlaw, Jr.
Alex Kinlaw, Jr. is a family court judge for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] He was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly in February 2009. Kinlaw was re-elected in 2016 and 2022.[2][3][4]
Education
Kinlaw received his B.A. in political science from the University of South Carolina in 1975 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1978.[2]
Career
After graduating from law school, Kinlaw worked as an attorney for the South Carolina Legal Services Program in Greenville County. He then served as an assistant public defender for Greenville County. During this time, he became a Death Penalty Certified Defense Attorney.[2]
