|I’ve cleaned up brownfields, overseen the construction of roads, bridges and water systems. I’ve started businesses, including one that has brought thousands of visitors and millions of dollars in tourism revenue to Detroit. I’ve assessed infrastructure around the state, country, and globe.
I’m running for State Representative in Michigan’s new 11th house district, covering Detroit’s east side, Harper Woods, and St. Clair Shores. We need to develop a regional infrastructure plan that protects our homes, our fresh water, and holds the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) accountable.- We must rebuild Michigan's crumbling infrastructure. The Detroit floods of summer 2021 reminded us, yet again, how vulnerable our aging infrastcuture is. Our basements flooded, our highways shut-down, and we dumped billions of gallong of sewage overflow into Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River. We cannot continue to live like this. I have a background in construction oversight, engineering, and infrastructure finance. I feel uniquely suited to work this problem on behalf of Michigan's 11th District.
- We must ensure that our kids have access to a quality education. Teachers should be well-compensated, and schools should be safe. Your zip code shouldn't determine the quality of your education.
- We must invest in community mental health and continue to de-stigmatize seeking mental health services. The pandemic, and everything that followed, have left people exhausted and struggling. Government needs to help people live better lives, and right now we need to make sure we have enough mental health professionals and resources to meet the needs of our people.
Environmental protection of Michigan's air, rivers and the Great Lakes.
