|- Calfornia can be a global leader on climate change, and healthcare/mental health care access, if we have the courage to elect a new generation of diverse, intersectional perspectives into elected office who do not take campaign contributions from the same lobbies that hold us back from making meaningful progress. Alex has accepted a pledge to take no campaign contributions from corporate PACs, the fossil fuels industry, or corporate healthcare lobbies (the "Patients over Profits" pledge).

Similarly, the movement for the liberation of oppressed people in Iran is intersectional to the assault on women's and LGBTQ+ rights right here at home. Right now is the time to elect a diverse, new generation of leaders who can serve as true champions for marginalized communities and who can build people power across segments of the community. If elected, Alex will caucus with the AAPI caucus in the California legislature,
