The city of Toledo, Ohio, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A primary election in the city council races took place on September 15, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 21, 2015.[2] In the District 6 race, incumbent Lindsay Webb and Bill Delaney defeated Alex Rivera in the primary election. Webb defeated Delaney in the general election.[3][4]

Rivera issued the following statement regarding his bid for office:

Alex Rivera seeks to reduce government waste and focus on roads,infrastructure and

making necessary improvements to the City Water Plant. Alex will also work to hire more Police and Fire Personnel. Alex Rivera is a Christian Conservative who will work for the citizens and will put partisan politics aside to put the needs of the people first,while supporting traditional American values that made this nation great.
