|Politics is about people, and it is time for a new kind of politics in America, a positive politics that lets your voice be heard through the cacophony of hate and fear.
Where do I stand on the issues? I stand for people, for autonomy, for each person to create their life, to reflect their values and their loves❊Comprehensive Healthcare that benefits everyone from head to toe.
❊Common Sense gun responsibility - securing everyone's rights, while securing everyone's safety. Expanding DMV licensure to include gun handling, and inviting the NRA to provide realistic gun safety and care classes that will prepare gun owners for licensure.
❊Renew and create infrastructure that connects us, from bridges and broadband, to high-speed rail and air travel.
Where would I begin, if I could begin anywhere?
Autonomy, ensuring every person has the rights to her or his own live body, to make medical and life choices based upon their own desires and beliefs.
Then, I would ensure clean, cold, healthy water is available and sustainable for everyone.
I did the same thing with my daughter when Nancy Pelosi became the first woman Speaker of the House. I needed her to know that she can accomplish everything she wants to do in this life.
East of Eden, Steinbeck shows the reality of life in the most beautiful, sometimes painful, sometimes loving way. It is brilliant.
Their Eyes Were Watching God, Zora Neale Hurston gives an amazing view of life in a new town through the eyes of a strong beautiful woman.
The next is to heal the environment, creating an environmental policy that can be sustainable throughout the natural disasters that will continue while the work is done.
