I am a long time citizen of Northwest Arkansas who would strive to make our home one that we can be proud of.
  • We need to end cash bail. Bail unfairly impacts low-income individuals and persons and communities of color. Your freedom before trial should not be determined by your available check balance.
  • I would like to establish the framework for a tenant Bill of Rights. Said framework would help to protect renters by ensuring fair treatment, safe living conditions, and protection against unjust evictions. It empowers tenants to advocate for their rights, fostering a more equitable housing market where everyone has access to stable, affordable housing.
  • I would strive to end book bans and attacks on our public libraries. Citizens deserve freedom of expression and access to diverse perspectives. By opposing censorship, we ensure that all individuals can explore a wide range of ideas and cultures.
The right to participate in elections and not have your voice lessened by the scourge of gerrymandering.
Justices of the Peace mostly rubberstamp expense reports it seems, but they have the ability to make the citizens and residents of their counties much better than they are.
Honesty and the ability to fight for what you know is right.
To work for their constituents regardless of their social status or standing. Or if they even voted for them at all.
If I could end cash bail that would makes waves beyond what I could ever imagine ever doing by myself.
Ficciones by Jorge Luis Borges. So many of the short stories in this book I still think about to this day.
I do not. This is a position that should be staffed with those without previous experience. Everyone starts somewhere.
The ability to look at the budgets and big pictures and realizing that dropping mileage taxs for example might look good, but our county can suffer as a result.
End Super PACs and their ability to launder untraceable money into our politics. No one should be able to spend obscene amounts of money and hide who is funding it.
