I'm a father of two who wants to make a difference in the world for my kids. I have a degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, and have worked in Health Care for the last 5 years. I want nothing more than to make a positive difference in people's lives and as an elected official I know I will be able to do just that.
  • We need to move Pennsylvania forward. We need to make changes that advance and uplift our citizens. We'll do this by working across party lines and within our communities to make the changes necessary to move Pennsylvania forward.
  • Our children are our driving force, they should be able to go to places like houses of worship, concerts and above all else school without fear, they should be able to play in nature without worry of getting sick. I'll work to make sure that our environment is clean for them and I'll fight to ensure that common sense is used to curb gun violence.
  • We need legislators that are willing to work alongside those with whom they do not agree with. We need legislators that will work across party lines in order to get things done. I am willing and able to see things from another point of view in order to find the middle ground on which we can lay the foundation of cooperation and create legislation that will benefit the most people.
The West Wing Television Series is the best way to understand my political philosophy, be willing to find that common ground without compromising your ideals. The best politicians we never had are in that show Jed Bartlet, Matt Santos, and Arnold Vinnick.
Empathy, the ability to see things from someone else's point of view. It's how an elected official can understand where someone who may not agree with them is coming from and then find that middle ground so that we can make progress. An elected official should also be willing to find that common ground and make the appropriate compromises to help the largest amount of citizens they can.
I'm empathetic which has served me well in the Health Care field. I'm willing to listen to the views of others and find common ground to work towards a solution.
To be accessible and communicative to their constituents, keep them well informed on what is going on and bring tangible change to their districts.
A legacy that leaves young pennsylvanians with better education and safe schools/public places for them to enjoy.
The Loch by Steve Alten, I love cryptozoology, and the mixture of scientific fact with some whimsy is great in this book.
The ideal relationship between the Governor and State Legislature is one of mutual respect and of cooperation. The Legislature must respect that the Governor was chosen by the State as a whole and that their vision for the state is what a majority of the state wants, so the Legislature should work with the Governor to find a common ground to help their constituents as much as possible within the vision held by the Governor and visa versa the Governor should respect that each Legislator was picked by a certain area and their needs must be respected within their vision as well.
Keeping energy industry corporations accountable for mistakes made and environmental hazards created by their operations.
Yes and no, yes because we need people who know how to "make the sausage" but also no because average people need to know that the person representing them knows their struggles so people with little to no governmental/political experience are very beneficial as legislators.
Yes, we need to build relationships so that we can legislate in a way that works for the most people.
I haven't ruled out running for other offices in the future, but it just depends on where I think I can do the most good for people.
In Cecil Township there were 4 young adults, teenagers, who were diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, and succumbed to the illness. The state did a study that did not include a timeframe for when these kids became ill. That amount of negligence is inexcusable and these families deserve a legislator that will fight for them.
A bill that would allow for municipalities to regulate Fracking to meet standards that the municipalities choose.
Education, Health, and Ethics
An elected official's contributions should be public record its how we know who supports them and who they may be favoring if their voting record supports those who support them heavily you know they are corrupt. This is how we keep our elected officials accountable to their offices and to their constituents.
I believe they'd be a good thing, it would allow people who are ignored or overlooked get things on the radar of legislators and the state government as a whole.
