Alexa Fujise
Alexa Fujise is a former judge on the Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals. She was nominated to the court by former Republican Governor Linda Lingle in March 2004 and assumed office on June 10, 2004.[1][2] On May 19, 2014, Fujise was retained for another 10-year term, which began on June 10 of the same year. Fujise retired from the court in April 2020.[3][4][5]
Education
Fujise received her bachelor's degree and J.D. from the University of Hawaii.[2]
Career
Fujise began her legal career in 1980 as a law clerk for Associate Justice Herman T.F. Lum. In 1984, she joined the City and County of Honolulu's Department of the Prosecuting Attorney. Between 1984 and 2004, Fujise held several positions within the department, including appellate research branch chief, deputy prosecuting attorney, director of the Research and Reference Support Division and assistant disciplinary counsel.[2]
