Alexander Stephens Macaulay is an active/retired circuit court judge for the Tenth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] He was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly and assumed the bench on July 1, 1994.[2] Macauly stepped down from the bench in 2014 when he turned 72, as required by South Carolina law. He became an active/retired judge, meaning he occasionally presides over cases.[3]

Education

Macaulay received his undergraduate degree in history from The Citadel and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1970.[2]
