First and foremost I am a proud Adams 12 graduate. I am also a mother of (soon to be) two Adams 12 students. My daughter is in 2nd grade at Mountain View Elementary. Her teacher, Mrs. Bell, was also my 1st grade teacher!
  • Ensure that all Adams 12 schools are safe and secure learning environments for students and staff.
  • Hire and retain world-class educators and strengthen the positive relationships between parents and educators to create great learning outcomes for kids.
  • Expand access to career and technical education and STEM throughout the district, broaden college pathways, and increase the number of career-ready graduates.
Public education is the greatest tool for social mobilization, but only when communities are fully invested, teachers are funded and supported, and students are safe to learn. These are the issues which need to be addressed in
every school.
First and foremost someone who hold this office needs to be a good listener, there is going to be conflicting issues and one needs to allow someone to be heard. Another attribute I have is collaboration bringing groups together.
To be accountable and accessible to those who elected you.
Make the world better then I came into it.
My earliest was a campaign event with Congresswoman Pat Schroeder, I attended with my mom and dad educators for Pat.
This is how it Always is. It is a perfect telling of the beautiful and complicated ways of raising a family.
Paw Patrol theme song on a count of having a four year old :)
When I was a baby I contracted Meningitis having seizures for years, I ended up in Special Education this both became a struggle for me as well as giving me a great understanding for what is needed for this position.
First and foremost, the board needs to be accessible and transparent. In our current political environment, there is a lot of fear, and as we continue to emerge from the COVID era, there is a lot of anger. Those issues need to be
met with a board who listens, engaging with each of these stakeholders regularly will be a priority. However, the shape that engagement takes depends largely on the unique needs of each group.
