Alfred James Lechner, Jr. (1948-present) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and a New Jersey Superior Court judge.

Lechner was nominated to the District of New Jersey by President Ronald Reagan on April 8, 1986, to a seat vacated by Frederick Lacey;[1] he was confirmed by the Senate on June 6, 1986, and received commission three days later. He resigned on October 1, 2001. Lechner was succeeded in this position by Jose Linares.
