Having invested the majority of my life in and around Dearborn, Michigan, I have come to realize a couple of very important realities. The first is that Detroit, for whatever political reason, has been all but abandoned by the very people who should have been helping to make living conditions better for all our citizens. The second reality is that the Detroit Metropolitan area has all but been used as a guinea pig in a social experiment by the Democrat Party.

It is my belief that with my 30-years experience as a civilian mechanical engineer for the United States Army in Warren, Mi, and my degree in biology, I am equipped to bring answers to our problems in this District.

I am a staunch believer that children should be cared for and that begins in the womb. I believe in a smaller government, but one that cares for her citizens. I believe that we need a strong defense, and I believe that we need to retool our education system as we are leaving far too many of our future behind.

I am a very real Republican who happens to love and care about our people in the 13th District. I am honest, faithful to the cause, and will serve with an open-door policy while being totally transparent.

  • The current social unrest and defunding the police across America: Of course I fully support peaceful protest as that is guaranteed under our precious First Amendment. Currently, various groups have taken to the streets to not peacefully protest but cause economic hardship to business owners, home owners and even causing physical harm to private citizens. This must stop immediately! Looking at Seattle, Washington and the events happening in that great city is all the reason that we as patriotic Americans need to justify supporting our law enforcement officers. I shudder to think what this nation would be like without well trained law enforcement officers.

  • The act known as abortion; Far too many Americans believe and think that abortion is the answer to a woman's problems when she has an unwanted pregnancy. That is simply not the case. Yes, there are occasions when an abortion is a necessity, but the very sad truth is, that is mostly not the case. It is my belief that legalizing this destructive act has done damage to our nation that many Americans will never realize. Beside the fact that women carry the scars on their hearts for the rest of their lives, the act itself has diminished our respect for humanity on a national level. This act must begin to be curbed in society before we lose our humanity altogether.

  • Accusations that America is systemically racist; The sad truth is that institutional and structural racism takes many forms and is found in many areas of American life. We need to remove such obstacles wherever we find them so that our society can more closely live up to its ideals of liberty and justice for all and equal justice under law. As your next U.S. Congressman in the 13th District, I will fight to make these goals realities.
The bedrock of our culture is the Judeo-Christian religion with its Ten Commandments of God, which are basic civilizational rules that are found in many other cultures as well. I am astounded that the Democrat Party has adopted a policy agenda that violates virtually all of these Commandments and that it has hardly been challenged for it. What has passed for leadership on the political right has meekly succumbed to accepting terms for the ongoing culture war that are overwhelmingly prejudicial against us and our country. They have meekly and uncritically accepted the phony claim that our opponents are "secular," as though free of any thinking based on religious faith and driven only by reason, rationality, and moral superiority. In reality, they are the real religious fanatics, fervently worshiping the false idols of their own intellects and powers of reason and convinced that the rest of us should do likewise. Having appointed themselves gods, they have empowered themselves to decide who does or doesn't matter (is or isn't a person), that they alone know right from wrong, that taxation to pay for things not authorized under the Constitution isn't theft, that the Constitution is a "living document" that means anything they want it to say, etc. I am passionate about exposing this masquerade of the idolaters as secularists, tearing down their mask of secularism, to destroy their agenda from Hell before it destroys us as a nation and as individuals.
I look up to and would like to follow the example of my father. He commanded an artillery battery in WWII and fought in the campaigns through North Africa, Sicily and mainland Italy, often serving as a forward observer, moving ahead of the front lines and calling back coordinates to aim the guns. It was very dangerous work. At a cousin's wedding some years ago, I met some older relatives whom I had not met before but who remembered him. The thing they remembered him most for was courage.
I am honest and direct with people. I try to get to the root of issues and see relationships among them.
I was an assistant to the custodian of a public school during my summer vacation. Probably about 10 weeks.
1984. Orwell really understood those obsessed with power and we are watching his understanding unfold before our eyes today.
It is "The People's House," most closely connected with the people and coming up for election every two years. Members must stay in touch with the views and needs of their constituents. I have walked among the Senators and Representatives myself when I've visited the Capitol. It may be a unique institution, or at least it was, that an ordinary citizen could do that.
Yes, it is probably beneficial to have such experience but there are many kinds of experience and many other activities in which experience relevant to the job of representative can be acquired.
Our greatest challenges include providing clean, renewable and affordable energy, meeting the economic challenges of other nations, finding suitable employment for low skill or low aptitude individuals, removing unjust obstacles to opportunities in education, mobility, and employment.
I would want to be part of committees that deal with issues most relevant to the concerns of my constituents but also those that affect the overall cultural climate of the nation.
It is the right length for responsiveness to the people but makes for a necessity to do constant fundraising.
