Alfredo Chavez Marquez (b. 1922-d. 2014) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

Judge Marquez was nominated by President Jimmy Carter on June 2, 1980, to a seat created by 92 Stat. 1629. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 26, and received commission on June 30. He assumed senior status on July 25, 1991. Marquez was succeeded in this position by John Roll.[1] Marquez passed away on August 27, 2014.[2]

Early life and education

Marquez earned his B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Arizona in 1948 and 1950, respectively.[1]

Military service

Marquez served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1954. He earned the rank of ensign.[1]
