What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Public Safety – I believe that every person has a right to feel safe and secure in their homes and in the community. I want to pass laws that are community-focused and community-sensitive to protect the rights of law-abiding people while simultaneously empowering law enforcement personnel to safely and efficiently do their jobs to protect and serve.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]

My Parents, they were and will always be my role models.[3]
Is there a book, essay, film, or something else that best describes your political philosophy?
I am a simple person with simple principals. So all you need to read is the United States Constitution. Our country was based on these principals we just need to follow them. Fundamental Rights. ... Seven fundamental rights were originally provided by the Constitution – right to equality, right to freedom, right against exploitation, right to freedom of religion, cultural and educational rights, right to property and right to constitutional remedies.[3]
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Integrity and common sense approach to problems and solutions[3]
What qualities do you possess that would make you a successful officeholder?
As the official elected to represent the 61st Assembly District in the California State Legislature, my main goal and purpose is to represent the interests of the people living in the 61st Assembly District. In pursuit of my objectives, I will rely on common sense and practicality to restore effective leadership to our State government.[3]
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Uphold and protect the United States Constitution.[3]
What legacy would you like to leave?
I am not looking for leaving a legacy or making a name for myself. Just want to serve my community and help the state get on the right path. My legacy is and shall always be my family and children.[3]

One of the major differences in California legislators is the size of the Senate and Assembly. Their are more Assembly members so passing a bill in State assembly would be more difficult than the Senate because of the fact that you will need to get more supporters of your proposed legislation during the floor vote.[3]
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
No, I do not think so. We should not have career politicians running. What we need, are individuals passionate in making a difference, creating building blocks for others to build on.[3]
What do you perceive to be your state’s greatest challenges over the next decade?
Fiscal responsibility and controlling the budget with its massive pension liabilities.[3]
What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and the state legislature?
Working together to bring both parties to the table to achieve common goals to serve the constituents in California[3]
Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.
Yes I do, At the end of the day you are one vote and you will need other legislators to work together to make a difference.[3]

Is there a particular legislator, past or present, whom you want to model yourself after?
Mix of JFK and Reagan[3]
