POLITICAL

Alia has a background in Science and Law and has worked on governmental initiatives and law reform proposals working for communities in Australia and the USA.

Currently, Alia has a vision to be in the District that everyone in Illinois will aspire to as she runs for a House of Representative in District 52.

She has a global perspective in assessing issues and concerns and has blogged, represented clients be it plaintiff, defendant or the government. For that reason, she can advocate for all on a just and fair playing field. Aside from running, she currently works for Health Insurance in the recovering and negotiating cases of those who were wronged by another party.

  • 1. Alia is here to represent the people and the real issues
  • 2. Alia wants to bring the District to a level of self sustainability
  • 3. Alia wants you to feel safe and be able to place trust in the governance
Alia is passionate about the work she does and in her wanting to serve the people. She is here to instill hope in the COVID-19 era. America is healing from all issues mainly as a result of bipartisanship not serving the interests of the people. That is what primarily motivated her to run on a Green platform. Take corporate interests out and it is truly giving power back to the people. She can work across all community groups. She is here to problem solve and is issue based. Empowering people and the planet is what she will work towards. Getting everyone to a level of self sufficiency is what Illinois needs.
Alia looked up to the warrior spirit of Muhammad Ali, who made his home in Chicago for some time. He had an ability to be known and loved by all that strikes me the most. His quotes are iconic and still resonate with the people today. He is a great source of motivation for people. Every single story narrated about him holds him in high esteem. He touched every corner of the globe. His prowess in the ring, the stance he took on issues and charisma makes him unforgettable and a true "people's champ". Alia used to watch his speeches and matches get televised in Australia when I was a young child. He was bold and brave. His actions as a conscientious objector to the war led to a counterculture generation. He has carried one of her cousins on his shoulders when visiting overseas. She was blessed enough to attend his funeral and so he has left a marking on her soul, as with the rest of this world.
Perspective is important and I believe I bring something new, exciting and fresh.
Overcoming the divide to due to hostile political climate. People have become polarized. My role is to bring them together.
