Alice Rubin
Alice Fisher Rubin was a judge of the New York City Civil Court in Kings County, New York. She joined the court in January 1, 1999, and was re-elected in 2008. She retired in 2011.[1][2]
Education
Rubin received a B.A. in political science and an M.A. from St. John's University in 1964 and 1968, respectively. She earned her law degree from Brooklyn Law School and was admitted to the bar in 1988.[1][2]
Career
Prior to her judicial career, Rubin worked as: a policy advisor to the New York City Comptroller; a commissioner for the New York City Commission on the Status of Women; assistant commissioner for the Human Resources Administration's Agency for Child Development; a policy advisor to the New York Governor; a trial and private practice attorney; a court attorney to a New York Supreme Court Justice; associate general counsel of the Health Insurance Plan of Greater New York; and an administrative law judge for the Department of Motor Vehicles.[1]
