Alice R. Senechal is a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. She was appointed to a full-time magistrate position on October 2, 2014. Her current term expires on October 1, 2022.[1] Prior to becoming a full-time magistrate, she was a part-time federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota. She served in this position from November 15, 1990, until October 1, 2014.[2]

Education

Judge Senechal was born in Rugby, North Dakota on June 25, 1955. She received her B.S. degree from North Dakota State University in 1977 and her J.D. degree from the University of Minnesota in 1984.[3]

Professional career

Judge Senechal began her career as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Bruce Van Sickle.[4] She joined the Robert Vogel Law Office, P.C. in 1986, where she was a shareholder.[2]

Judicial career

District of North Dakota magistrate

Senechal joined the court in 1990 as a part-time magistrate judge. She served in this position until 2014 when she was named to a full-time position that will expire in 2022.[1]
