I am a mother of five children, all of whom have been raised within the Orange County public school system. I have been married to my husband Jonathan for 21 years. We both have been serving our local communities and the children and families in Central America for over 2 decades. My Registered Nursing degree has been very beneficial for the charity work that we have founded and has helped open doors for us to provide wigs for kids with cancer in El Salvador. I started a mission called Wigs of Hope where I have created over 300 wigs myself to give to children in need.

Over the past year I have proven to be a courageous leader in our community as I have been heavily involved in defending the rights and freedoms of children, parents, and teachers right here in Orange County. My desire is to Raise the Standard of excellence within our public schools by returning to the foundation that made our Nation great.

Back to Basics: We must get back to basics, to ensure every child receives a foundational education. Since the pandemic many children have fallen behind in reading and math, especially our youngest students. I will advocate to remove excess workload from our teachers to allow them to focus more on student learning.

Partner with Parents: Many parents I've spoken with have lost trust in the public schools. The lack of transparency and openness regarding what is being presented to our children in school needs to change. I will work to restore the trust that has been lost and ensure transparency in our education system.

Honor our Teachers: I have heard from so many teachers who feel frustrated with their current lack of support in the classroom. This must change in order for us to retain our amazing teachers. I will work with teachers to ensure they have the tools needed to help our children grow academically. I will fight to ensure our teachers' voices are heard. I am committed to lifting teacher morale to make our schools an incredible place to come work every day!

Build Unity: The United States of America is a beautiful tapestry of so many amazing cultures. I will work hard to ensure each of our students and their families are supported academically.

Together we can RAISE THE STANDARD of excellence and steer our education system back in the right direction.
I started working in the medical field at the age of 18 as a CNA (certified nursing assistant). I worked in a hospital on the cardiac unit and began my nursing studies at a local community college. At the age of 19 I had graduated as an LPN (licensed practical nurse) and continued working on the cardiac unit as well as assisting in postpartum and private hospice care. My husband encouraged me to continue on in my studies. So at the age of 23 I graduated as an RN (registered nurse). I enjoyed working in all areas of the hospital but my favorite was the ER. I love the fast pace and helping people in a critical time of their lives. Serving others is in my DNA!
