Campaign website
Ortiz's campaign website stated the following:
This I Believe
SMART GROWTH
Development with purpose and a plan are essential to giving area businesses longevity. Adding mixed used development for District 10 will not only create jobs but provide a more balanced district that will allow for residents to fully embark on the best place “ to live, work, and play”.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Neighborhood and community safety is an ongoing collaboration between police, fire, city and community leaders. Continuing to foster these relationships builds community trust and creates depth of understanding, support and respect. District 10 has been very fortunate to have exceptional leadership for our police and fire, with broad thinking to continuously improve. With this, I will support our first responders needs so they may remain focused on giving top notch care to our residents during their most critical or difficult times.
ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE
By 2050, CoFW is on target to add another 500,000 residents to our city. Taking steps now to ensure our master plan can meet future growth is critical. Development will support our economic tax dollar growth. My job will be to plan ahead for incoming development without placing any negative impacts to our communities.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
We have a responsibility to be accountable for eliminating wasteful spending. Careful management and long range planning for balanced budgets will be an investment in our future.
