My name is Alisa Blaize Dixon and I am running for Arkansas State Senate District 34. I have lived in this district for 33years and raised my four children here. I also have eight grandchildren and six of them live in this district. I love the community in which I live. I am retired after 35 years of teaching with experience in both private and public schools. I will be an independent voice for all Arkansans and not be a rubber stamp for special interest groups. I will have the courage to do the right thing and vote for what is in the best interest of my district and the people of Arkansas. I want to use my decades of educational experience to improve our public schools and provide quality education for all children regardless of their zip code. I believe in supporting Pre-K and other early childhood development programs.

  • I running as an independent voice for all Arkansans.
  • I will have the courage to fight for what is right.
  • I will not be a rubber stamp for special interests groups or party.
Our public schools: Support our teachers with better pay and protect their retirement. Make sure every child receives a first-class education. Support for early childhood development programs including Pre-K.

Affordable Health Care: Every Arkansan deserves affordable, quality health care.

Creating Jobs: We need innovative policies to rebuild small businesses hurt by the pandemic and get people back to work.

Environment: Protect our clean water.
I think elected officials should be honest, ethical, humble, hard working, collaborative, willing to listen and reach across the aisle and support good policy no matter what party they represent.
It is a grave responsibility to be an elected official. It is a public trust. They should first and foremost serve to improve the lives of the people in their communities. Have the courage to do the right thing even when it may not be politically popular. They should communicate with their constituents the pros and cons of an issue and listen to their concerns. They should also understand the legislative process, build relationships, and engage in healthy debate and civil discourse, to find creative solutions to the many complex issues that face our communities.
