Biography
Alisa Blum was born in Washington, D.C. She earned a bachelor's degree from Towson University in 1981 and a graduate degree from the University of Maryland in 1983. Her career experience includes working as an organizational effectiveness consultant and social worker. Blum has been affiliated with the Oregon Organizational Development Network and Moms Demand Action.[1]

|Our next state senator for District 18 needs to have the skills to solve the many complex problems that are facing us. I have the skills to bring people together, think strategically and ensure the legislation that's passed works as it's intended.
I will commit to making sure the funds allocated to reduce homelessness provides temporary and permanent housing as quickly as possible, that we develop comprehensive strategies to reduce gun violence and reduce drug dependence, that schools improve their ability to prepare students for good paying jobs, that school personell get the support they need, that we have high quality and affordable childcare options, public preschool, resources for seniors and people with disabilities, improved health care access, protect women's reproductive rights, improve our foster care system and establish effective methods to reduce our carbon footprint.- Keeping our kids and families safe and healthy
