|Alisa runs her own HUB certified small, business. She is passionate about supporting fellow small businesses, strengthening the local economy, and creating opportunities for others to succeed.
She graduated from Texas Woman's University with a degree in Journalism, and was a journalist for 12 years. Alisa transitioned from broadcast journalism to a career in public safety where she spent 22-years as a county 9-1-1 administrator, supporting dispatch operations of all Tarrant County EMS, police and fire departments. She has served on the Arlington Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee, Chisholm Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross Board of Directors, and a 10-year member of the YMCA Arlington Board of Directors. In addition, Alisa has served as President of the Arlington NAACP, Second Vice President of Texas NAACP and was elected to the ACLU of Texas Board of Directors. Alisa is running for the Texas State House to continue her commitment to service. In Austin, she will fight to improve our health care system and make sure that everyone has access to quality affordable healthcare. She'll work to fully fund and improve our schools so that students have the tools needed to be successful.- I am a transformative leader with an unparalleled record of fighting for a better Arlington.
- I believe that it's time to end the hyper-partisanship that dominates Austin and use common sense to solve problems facing Texas families. That's why I will work across the aisle to get things done.
