Two of the five seats on the Pasco County Schools school board would have been up for primary election on August 30, 2016. Newcomer Colleen Beaudoin filed for the open District 2 seat and District 4 incumbent Alison Crumbley filed for another term on the board. Both were unopposed in their bids when the county's filing deadline passed. The election for both the seats was canceled and they were automatically elected.[1]
