Alison Strickland Austin is a judge of the Madison County District Court in Alabama. She was appointed in 2010 by Governor Bob Riley to fill a vacancy. She was one of three individuals recommended by the county Judicial Commission.[1] She ran unopposed for election to the 23rd Circuit Court in 2014. Her term will expire on January 17, 2021.[2][3]

Austin ran unopposed for district court seat to which she was appointed, earning 100 percent of the vote[4][5]

Education

Austin earned her undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 1993 and her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1995.[1]

Career

Austin is currently a judge for the Madison County District Court. Prior to joining the court in 2010, she was an assistant United States attorney.[1]
