Allan J. Preckel was a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. He was appointed by former governor George Deukmejian in September 1990 to succeed Zalman Scherer. Preckel was re-elected in 2010.[1] Preckel retired from the court on March 8, 2014.[2]

Education

Preckel received a bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University and a J.D. from the University of Chicago.[3]
