Expand all | Collapse all

My name is Allen Chesser and I am the Battle-Tested Conservative fighter running for State Representative in North Carolina to protect our Constitutional and God-given rights, end any and all existing COVID mandates, and get North Carolina back on the path to prosperity. As a combat veteran, I have a proven track record of putting my beliefs into action, carrying them into hostile territory, and standing in the gap in defense of those beliefs.

When elected, we will find common sense solutions to keeping Critical Race Theory out of our schools and ensure that our students are receiving the best possible education. I will fight to expand our Second Amendment rights by defending Constitutional Carry and standing up to anyone in Raleigh who wants to disarm the people of North Carolina. I will defend the lives of the unborn by putting my full and total support behind the Life at Conception Act. As inflation continue to run rampant, I will work with liberty legislators to cut unnecessary spending in Raleigh and fight to lower taxes for all North Carolinians.

As I have in the past, I will always fight to defend the liberties of the people of North Carolina, regardless of who is attempting to take them away. I have dedicated my life to serving and protecting this great country and state of ours. I am running for State Representative because the people of North Carolina are family to me, and I will do anything to protect my family; you have my word.
  • A History of Service - Allen Chesser has always had a willingness to serve the people of North Carolina. After he saw our country being attacked on 9/11 he felt called to do something; and joined the military at 17 years old. Allen deployed to Iraq from 2005-2006, where he completed over 100 combat missions, as turret gunner. During his time in service, Allen served alongside men and women from all walks of life, and he exemplified the principles of Duty, Honor and Respect. After returning from Iraq, Allen continued in service to his community as a police officer with the Town of Nags Head and the City of Raleigh. As a police officer, Allen learned to work within the community to address their problems and concerns.
  • Husband & Father - Allen married his wife, Jessica, in 2009 and together they live in the Samaria community of Nash county with their five wonderful children. The Chessers are raising their children to be focused on God and service to others. Allen and Jessica have devoted themselves to serving other; founding a local non-profit and a christian soccer league that allows all the children to play for free.
  • Long-time Community Leader - Allen first got involved in local politics in 2009. Allen has served in various positions of leadership within the Republican party (to include County Executive and District Executive Committees, as well as County Public Relations Director) and has helped on numerous local campaigns. Allen is currently the State Chairman for the North Carolina Republican Liberty Caucus.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in North Carolina

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.

Click here for an overview of legislative scorecards in all 50 states. To contribute to the list of North Carolina scorecards, email suggestions to editor@ballotpedia.org.
