|Currently, I work at a university in administration and I am also a professor at a local community college teaching Crisis Intervention Training for police officers; I have taught alongside a previous State’s Attorney on drug prevention, and in local schools on suicide prevention. I am a Lake Villa Trustee, have been involved in my daughters' high school boosters club and participating on bias panels. My church has always been a big part of my life; I have taught Sunday School, Vacation Church School, youth groups, and Greek Dance. Furthermore, my family, including my mother, father, and sister have been devoted to gathering food, clothing and other donations for 500 homeless students in Lake County.
I have a passion for serving my community and am tireless in my pursuit for making this area the best place to live. Living in Lake Villa with my husband of twenty years and my teen daughters has been a blessing. In my free time I enjoy hiking in our beautiful nature preserves in McHenry and Lake County.- We must secure women's reproductive rights, we CAN NOT and MUST NOT go back to women dying from back alley abortions.
- Many Illinoisans are being crushed under the burden of the high cost of medical care and prescriptions-I will fight to lower these costs when I go to Springfield.
- Local businesses are the backbone of our economy and we must do all we can to support them; with tax incentives, low cost loans and grants.
