My name is Allison Spencer Russell, and I have dedicated the last 14 years of my life exclusively to the practice of Family Law. I have served as a Guardian Ad Litem for abused and neglected children in Kentucky. Additionally, I have made law in Kentucky on the issue of grandparent visitation in an effort to preserve parents’ constitutional rights to raise their children as they deem fit. Currently, I run a successful private practice, focusing solely on Family Law. I have represented indigent parents seeking custody of their children, adoptive parents, victims of domestic violence, and individuals seeking a divorce. I believe that I have the right experience and temperament to make a competent, compassionate judge, and I would appreciate your vote.
  • I am experienced and well-versed in the law. As such, I will bring competency to the bench.
  • I have represented everyone from recovering addicts to multi-millionaires. Everyone will be treated with respect in my courtroom irrespective of their background.
  • Upon graduating from law, I worked for a Judge for several years. I know how to efficiently run a courtroom so that justice is administered in a timely fashion.
While judges are not tasked with making policy, I’m passionate about transparency when it comes to the judiciary. Courts should be easily accessible to everyone, and that is why it is important to keep in place the remote appearance option that was afforded to everyone during the pandemic. I also support the formation of a more robust online presence for Jefferson Family Court so that litigants can have some knowledge of what is going on with their case.
