Alp is an attorney, human rights advocate, and community organizer from Fort Lee, NJ.

Alp arrived in New Jersey when he was four years old and grew up undocumented. His parents did not speak English, and they worked at minimum wage jobs in the hopes that Alp might one day achieve the American Dream.

After graduating Fort Lee High School, Alp attended Vanderbilt University, graduating magna cum laude with three majors and two honors theses.  Alp then went on to receive a law degree from UCLA School of Law.

After racking up an absurd amount of student loan debt, Alp moved back to Fort Lee and worked as a corporate lawyer in Manhattan for nearly a decade. In addition, Alp provided free legal services for persecuted LGBTQ and HIV+ refugees and twice received the Immigration Equality Safe Haven Award.

Alp continues to live in Fort Lee with his wife and two small children.
We must save the American Dream. Our greatest strength as a country is that our dreams define who we are as a people. Our dreams make us uniquely American and give our communities strength and resilience. It is a national soul more powerful than any other. It has allowed us to surpass the rest of the world in every way imaginable. America is the American Dream, and our values will reignite it!

We have entered a dark era in America. Wealth inequality has reached historic proportions, and an entire presidency is now devoted to further entrenching that inequality. We will fight back and save the American Dream through our single-payer healthcare, education for all, and immigration amnesty policies, as well as our racial justice, Green New Deal, and anti-corruption plans.
