Alvin Peters was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 2nd Congressional District of Florida. Peters was defeated by Alfred Lawson in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012.[1]

Peters ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Florida's 2nd District. Peters sought the nomination on the Democratic ticket.[3] The signature filing deadline was June 8, 2012, with the primary taking place on August 14, 2012. Peters was defeated by Alfred Lawson in the Democratic primary on August 14, 2012.[1]
