Alvin Benjamin Rubin (b. March 13, 1920 d. June 11, 1991) was a judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. Rubin died on June 11, 1991.

Federal judicial service

Eastern District of Louisiana

Nominated to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana by Lyndon B. Johnson on August 16, 1966, to a new seat created by 80 Stat. 75; Confirmed by the Senate on October 20, 1966, and received commission on November 3, 1966. Service terminated on October 8, 1977, due to appointment to another judicial position.[1]

Fifth Circuit

Nominated to the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit by Jimmy Carter on August 16, 1977, to a seat vacated by John Minor Wisdom; Confirmed by the Senate on September 16, 1977, and received commission on September 19, 1977. Assumed senior status on July 1, 1989. Service terminated on June 11, 1991, due to death.[1]
