I am currently a teacher at CCR3 Public Schools in Plattsburg, MO. Before teaching, I was in Human Resources and later a Hospital Corpsman in the United States Navy. After my deployment in the Middle East aboard the William P. Lawrence (DDG 110), I lived in Washington D.C. and worked at Walter Reed Medical Center, in 2016 I came back to Lathrop, Missouri and began teaching Business subjects at CCR3. While back in Missouri, I completed an Education Specialist degree at the University of Central Missouri, as well as received Professional Development Certificates in Change Management and Web Design from Cornell University, and am currently working on my Doctorate in Business Psychology Consulting from the Chicago School of Business Psychology. I am deeply devoted to Missouri's students, and I am extremely excited for the chance to change lives.
  • First, I would like people to know that I am on their side, and the main goal of this campaign is to create a better, more inclusive, and equal Missouri for everyone, no matter rural or urban, poor or rich.
  • Education is under attack, from a mass teacher exodus to attempts to control what truth can and can't be told in the classroom, I will ensure that every student has a chance to be something great, and fully equipped to participate in our global and diverse economy.
  • There's a lot to love about our beautiful state of Missouri, but climate change poses a serious threat to our plains, mountains, and wildlife, As representative, I will work to create a Missouri that will be safe and ready for enjoyment for generations to come.
I love education. As a teacher I have witnessed hundreds of a-ha moments and seen kids grow into self-aware, caring, and equitable members of society. I see the chance to make our schools better as an necessity to run on my part, and would never give up the chance to help our society through service. Aside from education, I will work to increase veterans benefits for my brothers and sisters that have served, and focus on making our state more innovative, welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
I would like to leave a life of service, haven given back to others.
In high school, I got a job at a Subway in Kearney, MO as a "Sandwich Artist". I had the job for probably a year and a half.
'Born This Way' by Lady Gaga, because my campaign manager plays it all the time!
A government of the people, for the people. That is my philosophy. While it may be beneficial to know insider tips and tricks to climb the ranks of your party leadership and get larger campaign contributions, that's not why I want to go to Jefferson City. I want to go to write good legislation, work with members of both parties, and, most importantly, deliver results for the people of my district that sent me there.
Maps should be drawn fairly, and you would think that there would be no divisiveness on this issue. Voters are supposed to choose their representatives, not the other way around.
I am an educator by heart. If I were to be elected, I would want to be apart of the Committee on Education, if that is not possible, Veterans Affairs would be second. and Rural Development third.
Compromise is the cornerstone of democracy. Without compromise there would be no dealmaking, and while compromise has led to some of the worst atrocities in American history, such as the Civil War, there is middle-ground to be found on most issues. The willingness to work with people who you may not see eye-to-eye with on every issue is a quality I strive for, because at the end of the day, the bickering may not matter, but the results you provide do.
