My name is Amanda Brett. I am not a politician, and I do not have a Doctorate in Education. I am, however, a smart, educated, common sense conservative, concerned mother and Upstate SC native. I am a single mother of two awesome teenage boys. One is a junior at Greenville High School and one is a Knob at the Citadel. I have always been involved in every aspect of my sons’ education. A few years ago, I realized that there were decisions being made on my and my family’s behalf that I did not agree with. Not only were these decisions being made without my input or consent, but I wasn’t even part of the discussion. I started attending school board meetings both in person and live streaming them at home. I started paying attention to what was being voted on and who was voting in what direction. I am running for the District 26 School Board seat to be a communicator and conservative vote and voice for the teachers, children and families of District 26. I am excited about this opportunity to serve you and Greenville County Schools
  • Parental involvement is key to a successful education system
  • Back to basics curriculum
  • School safety and teacher support are paramount for a positive learning environment
* Back To Basics Curriculum *Work Force and Life Skills Readiness *School Safety *Parent Involvement *Age Appropriate Books *Teacher Support
I do my best to follow the example of Yeshua, Jesus Christ.
I was in elementary school when the Challenger exploded. I can remember that day so well. The entire school had gathered in the lunchroom to watch the lift off live on TV. We were all confused and very upset when we saw the Space Shuttle explode on live TV.
I babysat throughout my middle and high school years. I also was a Vacation Bible teacher during that time.
