I am a veteran public school teacher. I served 13 years in the classroom before founding a non profit to help teachers. I am passionate about preserving public education and empowering our boldest and most creative teacher leaders to bring Guilford County to the forefront of education in North Carolina and the US.
  • People should see Guilford County Schools as their number one choice to work in.
  • Our students need proper nutrition to learn
  • Communication is the key to galvanizing the community and keeping stakeholders in the loop
Standardized testing has to go. The mental, emotional, and physical toll it takes on teacher and students is not paying off in any way.

I believe we need to evaluate our allotment model in Guilford County. Our current model allows inequality among schools to offer courses which students are interested in taking or that might better prepare them for the future.

Scorecards

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
