Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger
Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger (Democratic Party) is a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, representing District 47A. She assumed office on January 3, 2023. Her current term ends on January 12, 2027.
Hemmingsen-Jaeger (Democratic Party) is running in a special election to the Minnesota State Senate to represent District 47. She is on the ballot in the special general election on November 4, 2025. She advanced from the special Democratic primary on August 26, 2025.
Biography
Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger lives in Woodbury, Minnesota. Hemmingsen-Jaeger earned an M.S. in genetics from Iowa State University in 2008 and an M.S. in science, technology and environmental policy from the University of Minnesota in 2016. Her career experience includes working as a legislative and policy analyst, business/management analyst, and forensic scientist for the State of Minnesota. Hemmingsen-Jaeger joined the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees (MAPE) union in 2011. She began serving on the MetroTransit Gold Line Bus Rapid Transit Community and Business Advisory Committee and the Woodbury for Justice and Equality, City Government Committee in 2021.[1]
