Amanda K. Pearson
Amanda K. Pearson is a former judge for the Saguache County Court in Colorado. She was appointed to the court in 1998.[1] Pearson retired on November 1, 2016.[2]
Education
Pearson received her undergraduate degree from Adams State College in 1984 and her J.D. from the University of Colorado in 1987.[3]
Career
Prior to joining the court, Pearson worked in private practice. Before that, she was a deputy district attorney for the Twelfth Judicial District from 1987 to 1989.[3]

Pearson was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 70.47 percent of the vote.[4]
Judicial performance evaluation
The Twelfth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance announced its recommendations for judges up for retention in 2012. According to its website, the commission evaluates judges based on the following criteria: integrity, legal knowledge, communication skills, judicial temperament, and administrative performance.[5]
Judge Pearson was recommended for retention by an unanimous vote. [3]
