Amanda McClendon
Amanda McClendon (Democratic Party) is a judge for Division II of the Tennessee 20th Judicial District Circuit Court. Her current term ends on September 1, 2030.
McClendon (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for the Division II judge of the Tennessee 20th Judicial District Circuit Court. She won in the general election on August 4, 2022.
Education
McClendon received her undergraduate degree in economics and history from Vanderbilt University in 1980, after transferring from Middle Tennessee State University. She then received her J.D. degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1984. During law school, she was a recipient of the 1983 American Jurisprudence award for excellence in the study of decedent’s estates.[1][2]
Career
McClendon spent her pre-judicial career, from 1984 to 2006, as an attorney in private practice. She also previously served as an elected member of the 11th Metropolitan Council (of Davidson County), representing the 16th District, from 1999 to 2006.[1][2]
