Amanda Merrill
Amanda Merrill (b. May 9, 1951) is a former Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Strafford 6 from a special election on December 17, 2013, to 2014. Merrill did not seek re-election in 2014.
Merrill served in the New Hampshire State Senate, representing District 21 from 2008 to 2012 and in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1988 to 1998.
Biography
Merrill earned her B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in 1974 and her Ph.D. from Dartmouth College in 1978. Her professional experience includes working as a fundraiser.

Elections
2013
Merrill won election in the 2013 election for New Hampshire House of Representatives Sixth Strafford District. The seat was vacant following Phil Ginsburg's (D) resignation after he moved out of the district. Merrill defeated Deidre Lepkowski (R) in the special election, which took place on December 17, 2013.[1][2][3][4]
2010
On November 2, 2010, Merrill won election to the New Hampshire State Senate. She defeated Peter MacDonald in the September 14 primary and defeated Peter Angerhofer (D) in the general election.
