Amanda Torres

Amanda Torres was justice of the peace for Precinct 1 in Nueces County, Texas. She was appointed to the bench in 2009, resigning in 2011 to run for election to the 34th District state House seat.[1]

2010 election

Torres ran unopposed in the Republican primary.[2] She defeated Joe Benavides in the general election, winning 51.3 percent of the vote. [3]
