My name is Amanda Victoria Mintz and I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and social entrepreneur residing in Northern Westchester. I was born in the Bronx to first-generation Puerto Rican government employees and raised nearby inPutnam County and have lived in 4 out of 5 of the boroughs of New York City, as well as San Francisco. I've been back in the Hudson Valley for the past 4 years to raise my daughter near her extended family and grow my small, family business to national success. I have also achieved success in corporate America prior to starting my own businesses as one of the few Latina businesswomen in my field and am currently working on my memoir entitled, “Power in Trauma”. I'm hoping to serve as a NYS Assemblywoman to serve ALL diverse voices to the best of my capabilities, from working parents and their children, to hardworking retirees whose families came to this county seeking a dream of freedom. Personally, I identify as a Latina, have a Jewish family and am disabled (hearing-impaired), which is largely my motivation to represent the diverse voices and needs of our growing local population.
Education — Seeking to bring more funding back to our district’s schools.

Local Business — As a local business owner myself, supporting these businesses is dear to me and what I believe makes our communities unique.

Infrastructure — POTHOLES! The conditions of our roads remain unsatisfactory. From advocating for improvements with train scheduling, to increasing speed bumps to keep our community members safe, to longer term, yet attainable, goals of implementing a ferry system to NYC.

Sustainability — A very personal passion as a regarded social entrepreneur, I seek to apply my experience as a “climate warrior” to our local community.

Healthcare — A human right that is more important today than ever before.
Authenticity, honesty, follow-through, consistency, and not being afraid to make overdue and necessary changes.
Allocating funds correctly to support the community best as possible with the community’s actual needs in mind, first and foremost.
Being on the forefront of significant political change in the United States by being amongst the first wave of women and people of color elected to public office.
Musical instrument shop employee and piano teacher while in high school, 3 years.
No, not at all. I believe having experience with people and their evolving needs are necessary, however. It is necessary to have younger people showing up to the polls, as well as having them consider running for office.
Yes, endorsements from likeminded politicians is helpful to creat a unifying voice on important issues, specifically pertaining to important human rights issues.
Mandatory timing window in which to fix a broken road. Making certain school program cuts illegal, such as arts programming.
