I am running for this position because my community asked me and I believe I have the necessary skills and experience to be able to engage on Snohomish County utility needs and the help guide direct the PUD commission to a brighter future. I currently am a contract manager with RCAC (Rural Community Assistance Corporation) in the Community and Environmental Division working with rural community and tribal utility technical assistance across the West, from Colorado and Alaska to Hawaii. My varied experiences in real estate, construction, infrastructure, risk management, finance, compliance, state and federal employment experiences and years of public engagement with non-profit organizations.
  • With 20 years of experience in construction contracts, non-profit and risk management, I bring a unique perspective to the table. I understand the importance of balancing the need for reliable services with the imperative needs of fiscal and environmental stewardship. I will work to:

    1. Ensure Affordability: I recognize the financial challenges families face. I will prioritize finding cost-effective solutions to keep utility rates equitable while maintaining high-quality services & reliability. 2. Invest in Infrastructure: Our infrastructure is our backbone. I will advocate for strategic investments to upgrade our utility systems, ensuring they meet the needs of growth.

    3. Support Economic Development: Reliable utilities.
  • PUD is positioned, to move to hourly rates in the near future where they will rely on consumers and punitive rates to be able to adjust to changing situations every hour. The American Society of Engineers recently stated that the infrastructure gap in the US has widened over the past four years to roughly 3.3 trillion dollars in backlog of infrastructure funding. This is a major issue the Homeland Security Office 2019 report on security threats to the power grid nationally highlighted many of the concerns and issue we still face. I am a planner by heart and look forward to big picture visioning and small detail financial details to be able to have a comprehensive capital improvement in the future.
  • I grew up commercial fishing in Alaska, in a area rich in hydroelectric, we are blessed in the Pacific NW to have such resources and we have much infrastructure to maintain. I believe that all existing resources need to be examined and costed for maintenance, replacement and or removal depending on funding, power output and input from our Tribal partners.
policy in general is a passion of mine, having the experience to know how policy impacts large infrastructure and households are not always straight forward. I have the experience in crafting policy, writing policy and working experience to know the personal costs of these decisions.
Amelia Earhart has always been a hero for breaking down historic barriers and being courageous and daring.
I am transparent, honest and have a Alaskan built work ethic I bring with me in all areas of life. I am resilient and dedicated to accomplishing goals.
Contract negotiation, infrastructure planning, decisions and PUD policy, CEO and fiscal oversight
I would like to be known that I fought for the people, human rights and
While taking my first plane ride to Alaska Mount St. Helens volcano exploded in WA state. I was the ripe old age of three.
I was a commercial fishing deckhand from the age of 8 on and off into my 20's
The Glass Bead Game, Herman Hesse

I love it's introspect, length, cerebral thought and philosophical mind bender. Highly recommend to everyone
n/a I wouldn't want to be a fictional character
Being a single mom thru the pandemic with teenage children has been the biggest struggle of my life and I will spend the rest of my life trying to make their world make sense again.
n/a I'm terrible at jokes, but love to laugh
In a world overrun in corruption influence and lack of accountability I would strive to overturn the status quo in politics locally and nationally. This country was founded with We the People and upholding these values is incredibly important to act with honor and transparency.
