Amber Mettler is an appointee to the Third Judicial District Court in Utah. She was appointed by Gov. Gary Herbert (R) in October 2017 to fill one of the vacancies created by the retirement of Robert W. Adkins, Bruce C. Lubeck, and Ann Boyden. Her appointment was confirmed by the Utah State Senate on November 15, 2017.[1][2]

Mettler earned a B.A. in politics from Princeton University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.[1]

At the time of her appointment to the bench, Mettler was a partner with the law firm Snell & Wilmer LLP. Her experience includes work as an associate at the law firm Williams & Connolly LLP, a law clerk for U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Michael Murphy, and a consultant for Public Financial Management, Inc. Mettler has served as the president of the Princeton Alumni Association of Utah and a board member for the Repertory Dance Theatre.[1]
