American Majority is a conservative 501(c)(3) nonprofit political training organization that, according to its website, is "the nation’s premier conservative training organization, helping put in place a truly unique, separate political infrastructure—for use before, during and after election dates."[1] Ned Ryun founded the organization in 2008.[2] The group is affiliated with American Majority Action, a 501(c)(4) organization that spends to encourage voter participation.[3]
Background
Ned Ryun founded American Majority in January 2008. Ryun earlier worked as a speechwriter for President George W. Bush (R) and as the founder and director of Generation Joshua, a civics program aimed at middle- and high-school students. Ryun's father Jim Ryun (R) was a member of the U.S. House representing Kansas.[2] As of September 2025, the group described its mission as "helping put in place the nation’s new conservative grassroots political infrastructure...[using] cutting-edge training and technology to empower individuals and groups with the most effective tools for promoting liberty through limited government."[4]

Work and activities
Training programs
As of September 2025, American Majority offered six training programs for conservatives interested in influencing local politics or running for office. American Majority described its programs as "not your standard political conferences or panels. They are individual, interactive training events that are fluid, casual and designed by YOU."[5].
The six training programs offered as of September 2025 include:
- Aileen Chuck Future Leader Campaign Training: This program instructs potential candidates for state and local office on how to run a political campaign, from "fundraising, organizing volunteers, coordinating events, writing letters, and reaching out to voters."[6]
- Activist Training: This program instructs citizens interested in becoming activists in how to "master the political process including its newest tools and technologies," covering subjects including coalition building, event planning, and using traditional and social media.[7]
- Campaign-In-A-Day: This program instructs potential campaign staffers by simulating a full political campaign over the course of the day. The organization says the event "gives participants the ability to try their hand at campaign roles that otherwise might elude them if they were to jump into their first campaign at the ground level." Participants will be required to raise money, message and respond to unexpected developments.[8]
- Campus Training: This program instructs college students in best practices for activism on- and off-campus as well as skills needed to volunteer or work for a political campaign "to ensure that students are prepared with the knowledge of how to get involved on campus, campaigns, and social media so that they are ready when called upon to lead."[9]
- Election Integrity Training: This program instructs individuals about recent changes to election laws and their effect on the 2020 elections "to equip individuals with the tools to be successful in defending voting rights."[10]
- Social Media Training: This program instructs individuals on how best to use social media to bring about political change to "equip you as an advocate for liberty from your living room to running cutting-edge social media training for a campaign."[11]
